Asuka’s WWE Return Timeline Revealed After Lengthy Injury Break
WWE fans finally have hope: Asuka might be back in the ring before the end of 2025.
The former Women’s Champion has been absent from WWE since May 2024 after undergoing knee surgery, and many were speculating about her future. Now, a new update sheds light on when we could expect the return of The Empress of Tomorrow.
In a recent Q&A, WrestleVotes shared a simple but telling update:
“Asuka—they’re hopeful by the end of the year. They wanted her for WrestleMania; it didn’t work, obviously, since she’s not cleared at the moment. So, they’re hopeful.”
Asuka was originally in consideration for a WrestleMania 41 return, but her injury recovery didn’t align with WWE’s timeline. She hasn’t wrestled since the May 3, 2024, episode of SmackDown, where she teamed up with Kairi Sane and Dakota Kai in a losing effort against Bianca Belair, Naomi, and Jade Cargill.
