WWE Confirms Women’s Tag Titles Won’t Be Vacated Despite Liv Morgan’s Injury
WWE has made a firm call following Liv Morgan’s dislocated shoulder injury—and the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles will not be vacated.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Liv Morgan has officially been pulled from all live WWE programming as she preps for surgery and a long recovery that could stretch up to six months.
“With her surgery pending, multiple WWE sources have confirmed that Liv Morgan has been pulled from the road and won’t be making any appearances live on WWE programming in the near future. We are told a plan has been made for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles and they are NOT expected to be vacated as of this morning.”
Injury Details and Fallout
Morgan was injured during the June 16 episode of WWE RAW, where she faced Kairi Sane. The match ended prematurely after Morgan dislocated her shoulder mid-match.
WWE hasn’t publicly shared a roadmap for the titles’ future. However, there’s talk backstage about a temporary replacement or storyline adjustment. One rumored scenario involves Roxanne Perez stepping in to team with Raquel Rodriguez—though nothing has been confirmed.
“The entire card for Evolution II is up in the air,” noted Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline, confirming the ripple effect Liv’s injury has had across the women’s division.
With Evolution II rapidly approaching, WWE creative now has to reshuffle their lineup on short notice—especially since Liv and Raquel were expected to feature prominently.
