WWE Yet to Finalize John Cena’s Remaining 2025 Retirement Tour Dates
John Cena kicked off his highly publicized retirement tour earlier this year with much fanfare, but now halfway through 2025, WWE still hasn’t locked down his full schedule. While fans eagerly await each stop on his farewell run, it turns out the final stretch of the tour remains in flux.
According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live, WWE has not finalized the exact dates or locations for Cena’s remaining appearances—even though he reportedly has about 17 dates left.
“He’s got like, 17 dates left or something? He doesn’t have many dates left. The astonishing thing was, I was told that WWE had not worked out his exact schedule of dates leading to the end… They are still figuring out what his last dates will be.”
This comes as a surprise to many, considering WWE had previously announced a 36-date farewell tour. It was assumed that the company would have planned out the entire roadmap at the beginning of the year—but clearly, that hasn’t happened.
What’s Next for John Cena?
John Cena is scheduled to face Ron Killings (R-Truth) on this week’s Friday Night SmackDown, and then move on to defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against CM Punk at Night of Champions in Saudi Arabia.
Despite these confirmed matches, his long-term itinerary remains open. This flexibility may be intentional, allowing WWE to adapt to storyline developments, venue availability, and international opportunities—especially as Evolution 2 and SummerSlam loom on the horizon.
Why It Matters
This uncertainty adds suspense to Cena’s farewell. Could WWE be planning a shocker for his final match? Or saving a blockbuster venue for his sendoff?
With half the year remaining and 17 appearances left, the countdown is ticking—and fans worldwide are eager to know when and where they’ll get to see the Leader of the Cenation one last time.
