Carlito Confirms WWE Exit: “Fully Available” for New Opportunities
Former WWE United States and Intercontinental Champion Carlito is now officially a free agent.
In a recent Instagram video post, Carlito confirmed that his WWE contract has expired and he is no longer with the company. His message was direct and unapologetic:
“Back in business!! #fullyavailable #nocontract #libre #ready #noworries”
This news marks the end of his second stint with WWE, which began in 2023 following his surprise appearance at Backlash: Puerto Rico—an event that received a thunderous hometown pop and reignited interest in the Caribbean Cool star. WWE capitalized on the buzz by signing him and inserting him into the Latino World Order (LWO) storyline on SmackDown.
However, as the LWO faction began to dissolve and newer stars took the spotlight, Carlito’s screen time gradually vanished, and rumors of dissatisfaction started circulating backstage. With no renewal in place, his departure became a matter of when, not if.
This isn’t Carlito’s first WWE farewell. His original run from 2004 to 2010 was filled with memorable moments, including:
- Debuting by defeating John Cena for the U.S. Title
- Winning the Intercontinental Championship on his first night on Raw
- Holding the WWE Tag Team Championships alongside his brother Primo
Now, Carlito’s future is wide open. Will he return to Puerto Rico’s wrestling scene, debut in AEW, or surprise fans with an indie run that puts him back in the global spotlight?
