Cathy Kelley Sparks WWE In-Ring Debut Rumors Amid Performance Center Training

Cathy Kelley may not be confined to backstage interviews for long. The longtime WWE interviewer has reportedly been training at the WWE Performance Center, hinting at a potential shift in her on-screen role that could see her step into the ring.

According to a new report from PWInsider Elite, Kelley has been attending both in-ring training sessions and promo classes—stirring speculation that she might take on a “manager-esque” position or even make her wrestling debut.

Now, Kelley herself is fanning the flames. Speaking to The Sporting Tribune ahead of WWE Money in the Bank, she was asked if fans should expect her to wrestle. Her cryptic response didn’t confirm anything, but it certainly didn’t close the door either:

“I don’t know whether I can confirm or deny that. I would say at one point I may have to ask myself the hard-hitting questions.”

While her answer left fans guessing, the timing is perfect. Kelley’s star is on the rise—she recently co-hosted the 2025 WWE Slammy Awards alongside Big E and landed her first movie role in the action-comedy Karate Ghost.

Kelley originally joined WWE in 2016, departed in 2020, and returned in 2022, quickly becoming a mainstay on RAW and various digital exclusives. But now, her days of standing outside the ring may be numbered.

Whether Kelley steps into a managerial role or competes between the ropes, it’s clear she’s poised for a bigger spotlight than ever before.
