Liv Morgan Injury Update: Surgery Confirmed, WWE Star Set to Miss Months of Action
Bad news for WWE fans and especially those cheering for Liv Morgan—the current Women’s Tag Team Champion is expected to be out of action for several months following an injury suffered during the June 16 episode of WWE RAW.
According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select, Liv Morgan dislocated her shoulder during her match, and the latest internal update is that surgery will be required. Unfortunately, this means her recovery will likely sideline her for an extended period.
“The word within WWE is that Liv Morgan’s injury will require surgery, and she’s expected to miss a significant amount of time,” Sapp reported.
The injury comes at a crucial time for WWE, just weeks away from SummerSlam—which is being held in Liv Morgan’s home state of New Jersey—and the anticipated Evolution event later this year. Liv’s absence will not only impact WWE’s creative direction, but also delay or cancel ongoing storylines, including her angle with Nikki Bella.
WWE is reportedly reshuffling its women’s division plans to adjust for Morgan’s absence, which could significantly affect tag team dynamics moving forward.
This isn’t the first time Liv has battled adversity in her career, and fans are hopeful she’ll bounce back even stronger once she’s fully recovered.
We at Sports With RB wish Liv Morgan a full and speedy recovery.
