Nikki Bella’s WWE RAW Involvement Cancelled Last-Minute Due to Liv Morgan’s Injury
WWE fans watching Monday Night RAW on June 16 were confused when Nikki Bella, heavily advertised ahead of the show, never made an appearance. Now, we finally know the reason.
According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Nikki Bella was present backstage and originally scheduled to make a run-in during the Liv Morgan vs. Kairi Sane match. This would have continued the budding feud between Nikki and Liv, which began the previous week after a surprise backstage confrontation.
“Nikki Bella was there and she was going to do a run-in in the Liv Morgan-Kairi Sane match to help set up the next part of the angle,” Meltzer stated.
However, things changed drastically when Liv Morgan suffered a dislocated shoulder during the match. The injury, which will require surgery and keep her out for months, forced WWE to scrap the segment entirely.
“They decided, for whatever reason… everything was a panic at that point… so that’s why she wasn’t on the show,” Meltzer added.
Nikki was reportedly ready for her spot and was kept off-screen not because of creative direction, but due to uncertainty around Liv’s medical condition and WWE’s last-minute adjustments.
With SummerSlam and WWE Evolution 2025 on the horizon, Liv’s injury couldn’t come at a worse time. The developing feud had the potential to lead into a high-stakes match at either event.
WWE will now be forced to restructure its women’s division plans, including how they utilize Nikki Bella during Liv’s recovery period.
Should WWE keep the Nikki Bella vs. Liv Morgan storyline alive while Liv heals? Or should they pivot and use Nikki in a new rivalry? Drop your thoughts in the comments!
