Roman Reigns Joins Eddie Murphy & Pete Davidson in Amazon Prime’s Heist Comedy ‘The Pickup’
WWE’s Tribal Chief is back on the big screen!
Roman Reigns is officially part of the star-studded cast of The Pickup, a new heist comedy hitting Amazon Prime Video on Wednesday, August 6. While Reigns isn’t the lead, fans can expect his signature intensity to shine through alongside Hollywood heavyweights like Eddie Murphy, Keke Palmer, and Pete Davidson.
The first official poster was dropped by Amazon MGM Studios on May 29, giving fans their first glimpse at the ensemble cast. While the exact details of Roman Reigns’ role are under wraps, it’s a clear sign the WWE icon is making moves in Hollywood.
Director Tim Story confirmed Reigns’ role earlier this year, silencing earlier rumors linking him to a different comedy, Good Fortune. Wrestling fans may recall Reigns’ previous big-screen appearance in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw—and now he’s diving into the action-comedy genre once again.
Though a trailer hasn’t dropped yet, buzz is building with the August premiere just around the corner. Fans can expect a sneak peek very soon.
Roman Reigns might not be carrying this film—but in true Head of the Table fashion, he’s making sure his presence is felt.
