WWE Fast-Tracking NXT Stars to Main Roster with Big Money Contracts

A big shift could be coming in WWE NXT—and it’s all about the money. According to Wrestling Observer Live’s Bryan Alvarez, top stars like Stephanie Vaquer, Ricky Saints, and Jordynne Grace were signed under unusually high-value contracts for NXT talent, signaling plans for quick main roster call-ups.

“The NXT contracts are usually not very lucrative, but I was told all three of them had a bigger-than-normal NXT contract,” Alvarez noted. “And people that have deals like that don’t end up in developmental all that long.”

These lucrative deals suggest WWE views them as short-term investments in NXT, prepping them for bigger things on Raw or SmackDown.

Stephanie Vaquer, who recently dropped the NXT Women’s Championship to Jacy Jayne, was reportedly emotional post-match. Alvarez speculated that her tears were due to excitement over her potential promotion:

“Stephanie cried tears, I’m sure, of joy to be going up to the main roster and making a lot of money.”

Though WWE has yet to officially confirm the call-ups or assign a brand, the backstage buzz is strong. It’s clear WWE is making major financial moves to ensure top-tier talent doesn’t stay in developmental for long.

With the women’s and men’s divisions heating up across both Raw and SmackDown, these NXT stars could soon be shaking up the landscape of the WWE Universe.

Do you think WWE is making the right call by pushing NXT stars to the main roster quickly? Or should they spend more time developing in NXT? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below!
